Cautions

Explanation and notes

Worked example from class: a Kanya (Virgo) lagna chart had exalted Saturn in the 2nd house, exalted Mars at 14 degrees in the 5th, and exalted Rahu and Ketu. Six planets, including the 4th lord Jupiter and the karmesh Mercury, sat on the North side, so a North-facing home was judged very beneficial. Property, construction and the share market suited this chart; the advice was to plant many flowering trees, use plenty of stone in the interior, decorate the staircase lavishly and lay green Kota stone on it. When Saturn, Rahu and Ketu are exalted, a sattvik person rolls in money, but these planets never forgive wrong conduct. A good chart is like winning a holiday package in a lottery: it is useless unless one actually goes to the airport. Astrology calculates what one brought from the past life; present karma decides what one does with it.
