You advised lighting the lamp on a drawn triangle; should it be the fire-element triangle?

Yes, it has to be the fire-element triangle, drawn as a straight (sidha) triangle, not an inverted (ulta) one.

Can the lamp still be lit if the kitchen is in the North-West?

Yes. The North-West lies on the same axis as the South-East, diagonally opposite at 180 degrees, so the lamp can be lit there too.

Does increasing the energy of the South-East or South-South-East raise the chance of theft, fire or accidents?

No, this idea is wrong and should be removed from the mind. An element's own zone can bear any amount of that element: kitchens burn daily in the South-East, factories run furnaces there day and night, and a plant in Goa melts quartz in its South-East without such problems; high mountains in the South-West only strengthen the earth element there.

Is a tall chimney in the South-East a dosh?

No. In practice even very tall chimneys in the SE showed no dosh, because the fire element always goes upward, as swar vigyan also shows; a rising chimney suits fire.

Should a moon made of silver be placed in the North-East?

Yes. A silver moon (chandi ka chandrama) in the North-East creates the water element (jal tatva) and gives results.

The South has the fire element, so why can't the kitchen be built there?

The South is the proper location of Mars and represents fire, but all the principles are based on the Sun. When the Sun is in the South its rays are so hot that the vitamins and minerals they carry are destroyed, and cooking there affects the cook's mind badly. Fire stays balanced up to the South-East, which is why the kitchen is made there; in the South the fire becomes imbalanced.

What does lighting a lamp in sagun mean?

Sagun is a swar vigyan technique that is learnt fully only in the complete swar training; in brief, the lamp is lit while holding the breath. A lamp lit in sagun burns far longer: a 100 g ghee lamp lit on Dussehra burned for 10 to 12 days and a 10 g lamp has burned for 27 days, so a desi cow ghee lamp in the South-East of the kitchen needs only 25 to 50 g of ghee a day. A conch blown in sagun while holding a wish drives all negative energy out of the house.
