Yellow Mustard and the Gautam Mantra to Sell Stuck Stock or Land

For stock that is not selling or land that will not sell, cleaned yellow mustard is purified by circling a camphor flame over it (prasuk karan), energised with 11 malas of a mantra and, on a Monday or Wednesday, put into pits at the four corners.

What it does

To sell dumped stock, goods or land that is not selling.

Where

Pits in the four corners of the land or premises

When

Monday or Wednesday

Samagri used

  • Yellow mustard, cleaned
  • Bowl
  • Piece of camphor (kapoor ki dali)
  • Spoon
  • Mala (rosary) for 11 rounds of chanting

How to do it

  1. 1Clean the yellow mustard and put it in a bowl
  2. 2Put a piece of camphor in a spoon, light it and circle it over the mustard 3 or 7 times without dropping it in (prasuk karan kriya)
  3. 3Energise the mustard with 11 malas of the mantra
  4. 4On a Monday or Wednesday dig a pit in each of the four corners: North-East (Ishaan), South-East (Agni), South-West (Nairitya) and North-West (Vayavya)
  5. 5Put the energised mustard into the pits

Cautions

  • Only show the camphor flame to the mustard; do not put the camphor into it

Explanation and notes

Mantra, as reconstructed from the class audio: Om namo bhagavao goyamassa siddhassa buddhassa akkhina mahanassa avatara avatara swaha. A longer Navkar-based mantra was also read out, but the short one is enough. The camphor flame is the agni sanskar of the mustard and removes all negativity from it. To keep sales up, also keep yellow mustard in the galla (cash box), an old tradition, and do dig vandana daily.

Buried Bones (Shalya) Ruin Peace, Health and Business

A bone buried in a plot is the biggest land defect (shalya). It changes the chemistry of the surrounding soil, becomes a home for spirits and slowly destroys the peace, health and business of whoever builds there.

Purifying Land After a Buried Bone Is Removed

The full purification done where a bone has been dug out, the land's equivalent of the rites after a death: vastu registry with five coconuts, removal of the affected soil, agni sanskar with mango wood, water, gomutra and cow-dung purification, lime and sulphur, a 24-hour lamp and mercury.

Other Shalya: Buried Furnace, Coal, Ash, Fossils and Kaudi

Besides bones, coal, ash, some animal fossils and kaudi in the ground act as shalya. A furnace (bhatti) left buried under a building ruins the family and the business, and kaudi must never be buried, although gomti chakra can be.

Principleकोणों का ढकना

Never Bury a Plot Corner Under a Heavy Mass

The corners of a plot are its biggest sources of energy, and energy flows diagonally from corner to corner through the brahmasthan like a highway. Piling or filling a huge mass over a whole corner zone creates a serious defect.
