Only about 55 percent of the Sun's energy reaches the earth. Of that, trees and plants capture about 95 percent, mirrors 80, pyramids 65, water 60, yantras 60 to 90, metals 45 and stones 35, while plastic and petroleum by-products capture none.
Yantras: about 60 to 90 percent
Room decoration in general; plants are chosen by planet and direction
The sun's rays take about 8 minutes 20 seconds to reach the earth, and only about 55% of their energy arrives; the other 45% is lost on the way. Of what arrives, trees and plants capture about 95%, mirrors 80%, yantras 60 to 90%, pyramids 65% (which is why fruit kept under a pyramid stays fresh), water 60% (mainly the Moon's energy), metals 45% and stones 35%. Plastic and other petroleum by-products capture none, so interiors should rely on natural materials and on indoor and outdoor plants chosen for the planet of each direction.
Vedic vastu says the defects of a wrongly placed door can be removed through the decoration of the door itself: auspicious symbols, yantras, paintings and artworks made on the door, door power at the threshold, and a bandhanwar (toran) hung on it. This class therefore treats wrong doors with symbols, torans, bandhanwars and colours rather than structural changes.
