Case: a family that had prospered in a North-facing house built a 15 crore, perfectly vastu-compliant East-facing house. Within three months the owner had a heart attack; the son had a near-fatal accident and two marriages that each ended in divorce within six months; the owner had another attack. The Sun was in the 8th house in the father's and son's charts and in the 12th house in the wife's, badly placed for every member, and troubles rose with each Sun period until they left the house. Simply choosing a North or East facing is not enough: with a debilitated Mercury, North facing also troubles. Many consultants put every master bedroom in the South-West, but people with a debilitated Rahu suffered there and got very good results after moving to another direction.
Interior vastu is customised vastu: arranging and decorating the inside of a home, office, factory, temple, school or hospital according to the particular owner's horoscope, so that the nine planets, the three forces and the five elements are balanced for that person.
The universe is an ocean of prana shakti (life force), which reaches people in three forms: fire or light from the sun, air (vayu), and bhu shakti (earth energy).
The first principle of interior vastu: identify the element of the person, of the structure being built and of the activity done there, and make sure these elements are friends.
The third principle of interior vastu: furniture, tables, the tijori (safe), artefacts and idols must sit perfectly level and in proper alignment so that gravitational force acts on them correctly.
The fourth principle of interior vastu: study the physical and chemical properties of every building, decoration and remedy material (metal, wood, stone, adhesive, paint) and choose them according to the owner's planets.
Vedic vastu says no more than two or three kinds of wood should be used in one house, while plywood is made from 7 to 15 kinds of thorny woods glued together with adhesives.
Bricks made from thermal plant fly ash mixed with sand and adhesive materials are wrong according to Vedic vastu, which likens ash (raakh) to shalya (an impurity such as bones buried in land).
Once the brick masonry is complete and before plastering, spray desi cow urine over the entire masonry, the way water is sprayed for curing.
