Balancing a South Mirror with an Equal Mirror on the North Wall

In a dressing room or bathroom mirrors should go on the North or East walls. If a wash basin is already in the South and its mirror must be there, fix a mirror of the same size on the North wall to balance it.

What it does

Neutralise the pit created by a South mirror.

Where

North wall opposite the South mirror

Samagri used

  • Second mirror of the same size as the South mirror

How to do it

  1. 1In a dressing room, use the North or East walls for mirrors
  2. 2If the wash basin and its mirror are already in the South, measure that mirror
  3. 3Fix a mirror of the same size on the opposite North wall

Explanation and notes

The pit dug in the South is matched by an equal one opposite, so the effect evens out. Every room has North and East walls as well as South and West walls, so prefer the North or East wall, also for wardrobe mirrors.

Principleदर्पण

Mirror (Darpan) as Mangal: Water Element and the Right Walls

The mirror is one of the eight mangal items (ashtamangal) and is considered the best of them; it drives away negative energy and reflects energy when placed in the right direction. It represents the water element and the Moon, so it belongs on the North or East wall.

Remedy

Convex and Concave Mirrors to Correct a Cut or an Extension

As taught in class, a convex mirror makes a small space look bigger and extends it, while a concave mirror makes a big space look smaller; so a convex mirror treats a cut and a concave mirror treats an extension. A plain mirror can also extend a cut.

Pen Cap and Ink Colour by Name Rashi for Signing Documents

A signature can pass or cancel a proposal, a cheque or a property deal, so the pen used for signing is chosen by the rashi of the name you sign with: the cap or body colour and the ink colour are matched to that rashi. Only three inks are used for the 12 rashis: red, blue and green.

Principle

Curtain Colour by Kundli, Element and Zone

Curtains please the mind and also affect the planets, so their colour is chosen by the kundli, the element and the zone where they hang. For a business, take the colour of a supporting planet among the 10th, 9th, 11th or 2nd house lords, or else the 5th lord.
