Principle

Never Nail the Centre of a Door's Top Frame (Agya Chakra)

The main door is the face (mukh mandal) of the house and every door and window is a face; the centre of the top frame corresponds to the agya chakra between the eyebrows. A nail driven there damages it and the household suffers constant headaches.

What it does

Prevent recurring headaches in the family.

Where

How to do it

  1. 1Find the exact centre of the top frame of the door or window
  2. 2Do not drive a nail or clamp at that centre
  3. 3Fix curtain clamps a little to the left and right of the centre
  4. 4Check the doors of every room and shift any centre nail

Cautions

  • A nail at the centre of the top frame damages the agya chakra of the house
  • Curtain fitters usually put a clamp at the centre; prevent it

Explanation and notes

Mirror (Darpan) as Mangal: Water Element and the Right Walls

The mirror is one of the eight mangal items (ashtamangal) and is considered the best of them; it drives away negative energy and reflects energy when placed in the right direction. It represents the water element and the Moon, so it belongs on the North or East wall.

Remedy

Convex and Concave Mirrors to Correct a Cut or an Extension

As taught in class, a convex mirror makes a small space look bigger and extends it, while a concave mirror makes a big space look smaller; so a convex mirror treats a cut and a concave mirror treats an extension. A plain mirror can also extend a cut.

Remedy

Pen Cap and Ink Colour by Name Rashi for Signing Documents

A signature can pass or cancel a proposal, a cheque or a property deal, so the pen used for signing is chosen by the rashi of the name you sign with: the cap or body colour and the ink colour are matched to that rashi. Only three inks are used for the 12 rashis: red, blue and green.
