Some land is negative because ghosts (bhoot-pret) live there. Is there a Vastu remedy for it, or only mantras?
Such land can be corrected through Vastu too: special dhoop and samagri for removing bhoot-pret badha are taught later in the course.
After a puja place built right next to a toilet in a relative house was corrected, I had blood in my stools for 8 to 10 days, and I still feel the same vibe when discussing it. What does such an energy impact indicate?
It indicates negative energy at that place. Dowsers and highly sensitive persons feel such energy much more strongly, and your body was able to sense it; talking about it connects you to it again. The teacher has had similar reactions at sites, once with his whole body going limp, red and sweating and with severe loose motions.
How can we protect ourselves when visiting a site with strong negative energy, whose effect continues even after leaving?
Protection methods are taught in later classes. Even with protection, very strong negative energy will make the body react while you are there, just as wind touches you whatever shield you make, but with a protective shield (suraksha kavach) it cannot do more than that reaction.
Which four things make a person immune to vastu dosh even when the house has many defects?
A daily bath in water in which a potli of the herbs of the nine planets has been dipped; tirth darshan during every eclipse and during vyatipat yoga; using swar in every daily activity from waking to sleeping; and daily abhishek of the consecrated deity, applying the dust of the feet of the deity on the forehead and sprinkling the abhishek water in the house above navel height.
Surya is a god. How can it sit in the outer paishachik zone?
When the rays of the Sun come, they fall outside first and only then come inside. The devtas of the outer ring sit there for protection: they occupy the land on all four sides so that no negativity can enter.
Are there 45 vastu devtas or 49?
There are 45 devtas, but 4 more devtas stand on all four sides to protect them, so basically there are 49. Bhog samagri is offered to these 4 guardians as well, after the 45.
Bones attract negative energy, yet medical students keep skeleton parts in their hostel rooms and sometimes fall into depression. What should they do?
They should carry a small red potli of yellow mustard, about one inch, in the pocket; then the bones will not trouble them.
A young woman who went through a Rahu-Ketu period and a spirit influence is now bedridden and cannot stand despite physiotherapy. What can help?
Spirits inside a person disturb the whole body and drain its energy. Cupping therapy was suggested for the body, and she should always keep yellow mustard with her. Along with it hing must be used: burning hing and making her smell it drives away any spirit at once, and it can be burnt on paper or on powdered camphor.
What is the remedy if the kitchen door falls in the South?
A South door is called the door of Yama: demonic (rakshasi) tendencies enter through it, and at night they are said to make the food impure. Either close that door or energise it with the door power treatment taught later in the treatment classes. When designing, never give a kitchen a South-facing door, since fire into fire can cause a fire.
Why were silver and pancha ratna placed under the dehleez in temples, palaces and old buildings?
When the thresholds of thousand-year-old temples, forts and palaces were lifted, silver coins and pancha ratna were found beneath them. The dehleez itself stops negative surface currents and tantric attacks from crossing into the house; silver stops negative energy from entering and cancels the ill-effects of the door, and the pancha ratna make positive energy flow through the dehleez and multiply on every festival as it enters the house. Roots of certain plants, such as black dhatura, were also placed in the dehleez so that no ghost or evil obstruction could enter.
Should the horseshoe for a West entrance be fixed inside or outside the door, and which way should its mouth face?
Fix it outside the door. Hang it in a U shape, exactly the way the English letter U is written, with the open end upward.
Should the main door's chaukhat, the dehleez, be slightly higher than floor level?
Yes, it must be higher than the floor; only then can it stop the energy. It should be made of wood in particular.
In the seven sea-salt lump usara of the main door, are the rounds made clockwise or anti-clockwise?
Clockwise only. Standing outside the main door, circle the hand holding the seven lumps clockwise in front of the door for the rounds, then sweep once or twice from the front as if pouring the energy out and throwing it away outside. Do it only while the right nostril (Surya swar) is active; done in the left swar it gives no result and instead invites negativity. Swar vigyan is the base of everything, and without swar, vastu is handicapped.
A peace lily was planted twice at home and did not survive. Is there a dosh?
Yes. Plants are the most sensitive testers and signal earthquakes and accidents in a house in advance. White hibiscus and tulsi react at once to negativity, and a failing peace lily shows negativity in the house. Remove the negativity and the peace lily will start growing by itself.
If Saturn is debilitated, can a shami plant be grown?
No; why invite spirits? One person planted two shami trees in the West of his home believing it would help, faced three to four months of trouble and returned them to the gardener. Shami should not be grown at home.
Can tulsi be kept inside the house, and why does it keep drying?
Yes, tulsi can be kept inside if it gets proper air and light. If it dries again and again, the house has negativity; light a cow-ghee diya near it. Tulsi is said to produce the most oxygen, and a ghee lamp beside it to generate so much oxygen that the pair could serve like an oxygen cylinder in an emergency.
The kesar swastiks I made in my shop have faded and almost disappeared; what does it mean?
If a kesar swastik's colour fades away, that place has more negativity. Treat the negativity of that spot.
