Why is a dying person laid with the feet toward the South?
So that life leaves the body quickly without getting stuck, because of the magnetic poles of the earth and the body. For the same reason a living person should never sleep with the feet toward the South; keep the head to the South instead.
My bedroom is in the South and its floor also slopes to the South. What should I do?
That is wrong; correct the slope first, because slope matters most. More important than treatments such as changing the sleeping zone is maintaining the slope of the room, which alone removes about 60 percent of the dosh.
In the house I am moving to, my room may fall in the Brahmasthan or the North-East. Which is right during pregnancy and delivery?
Do not stay in the Brahmasthan at any cost; sleeping in the drawing room, or even on the road, would be better. If zoning the whole area puts the room in the North-East, it can be used with discretion, but it is not ideal; the best zone for a delivery is the South-West, the zone of stability. A backyard on the North side is good.
Do these effects, such as insomnia, apply to room doors, and does only the owner suffer?
They apply to the main door of the house, not to room doors. The people in whose name the house is and who invested in it feel the effects most, but other members can be affected too.
Can a bedroom be made at Shikhi (E1), and why should it be white rather than red?
Yes, a bedroom at Shikhi can suit elderly people, and it should be painted white rather than the zone's red colour, as advised for people of kapha nature and for those of pitta nature whose heat rises quickly. Shikhi is highly sensitive and already hot, so red would add heat and open the third eye.
Parjanya is the devta of fertility, so why is married life said to be not allowed in a bedroom at E2?
A bedroom at Parjanya was never forbidden; it gives peace and deep sleep. What does not suit it is going there only for pleasure. When a couple goes there with the intention of having a child, following the method of establishing a kalash and keeping a diya, and conceives there, they give birth to the best child.
If a house has four members, whose kundli should be used for its vastu?
Primarily the grih swami's, the person whose money is going into the house, because the house affects the owner and his next three generations; do not go by the name the property is registered in, such as a daughter. The facing and main door are chosen from the grih swami's chart, for example North if his Mercury is exalted or his North-side planets are strong. Where a child sleeps or studies is decided from the child's own chart: if the child's Mercury is weak, seat him in the South instead of the North, following the 180-degree rule for a weak planet.
If one family member has a planet exalted and another has it debilitated, should that planet's items be kept in the interior?
Decide room by room. In your own bedroom use the materials of your exalted planet and not of your debilitated one; your daughter's bedroom is designed from her kundli. The house facing and common areas such as the drawing room and kitchen are decided from the grih swami's kundli. Many people make the master bedroom in the South-West by default, which is wrong when Rahu is debilitated: such people suffered there and got very good results after moving to another direction.
Is it true that one should not sleep near electric switches?
Yes. The more electromagnetic current there is near you, the more it affects the nadis, the body and blood circulation, so keep the bed well away from switch boards. The minimum distance is transcribed as 35 feet, which may be 3 to 5 feet; check the class recording.
A client has an exalted Saturn and a debilitated Venus. Can the bedroom be made in the West?
Yes, it will be very good. With an exalted Saturn, make the bedroom in the West without hesitation; WSW or even SW can also be used, but when Saturn is exalted the West gives the best results.
A couple sleeps in the SW; one has an exalted Rahu and the other a debilitated Rahu. Can they sleep there?
Yes. After marriage, as in the hathleva ritual, the planets of one partner overlap the other, and the exalted planet's influence prevails.
Rahu is in Mesh in the 10th house. Can I sleep in the South-West?
Yes, you can; Rahu in Mesh is not debilitated.
What is the remedy for a bedroom in the South-East?
The dosh nivaran for this has not been covered yet and will be taught later. A SE bedroom gives tension unless Venus is exalted.
Can a garden be made in the East?
Yes, a garden can be made in the East; even a bedroom can be made there for a person whose Sun is exalted.
Does Rahu in the 8th house also rule out a South-West bedroom?
Check only debilitation, not the 8th house. Not every 8th-house placement is bad.
Does being manglik stop a person from sleeping in the South-West?
Manglik has nothing to do with it. It is considered only at marriage matching, when Mars sits in the 1st, 4th, 7th or 12th house, and Mars is power, not inauspicious. For the SW check whether Rahu-Ketu are debilitated, and for the South whether Mars is bad.
Which bedroom location suits everyone, whatever the strength of their planets?
The West-South-West: anyone can be given a bedroom there whether their planets are exalted or debilitated. The West suits those with an exalted or normal Saturn but not those with a debilitated Saturn, who should never sleep in the West-North-West either, as it can lead to depression.
Why should one not sleep with the feet towards the main door?
Energy keeps entering through the main door every moment, and at night spirits, devas and angels also move about and enter the house; if they find feet pointing at them they take it as disrespect, as if being kicked, and the sleeper suffers ill effects. The rule dates from when large families made some children sleep in the main door hall. For the same reason never point the feet towards the temple or God, a cow, religious books or the tijori where Lakshmi resides.
How can I choose the colour that awakens my fortune for my bedroom if I have no horoscope or cannot read it?
Take a colour catalogue and turn its pages with your own eyes: the colours you are drawn to are the ones that awaken your fortune. Use that colour along with the colour of the zone you sleep in, and if possible match it with your horoscope; it usually matches. Sleeping steadily for eight hours in that colour lets its planet act on the whole body.
What happens if there is a mobile tower above the bedroom?
It is completely wrong: its electromagnetic currents spoil health, prevent deep sleep and, above all, cause loss of energy.
What should be done if the TV is in front of the bed?
Cover the TV while sleeping, for example by putting a cloth or curtain over it. Electronic items should not be close around the bed in any case, as their electromagnetic currents make a person ill.
I sleep on the first floor and the overhead tank is on the third floor; will it have an effect?
No, it will not have any effect. Only the roof directly above the bedroom should not carry an overhead tank.
What should be done if the overhead tank is directly above the bed?
Paste a thin layer of muscovite (mica) on the ceiling, or give the room a wooden ceiling. Sleeping under an overhead tank generates hydro currents that raise the risk of heart problems.
If the master bedroom is in the South-West, can ancestors' photos be put up in it?
No. Ancestors' photos should not be put inside the bedroom, even when the bedroom is in the South-West.
Is a dark grey background necessary, for example when making videos?
No, it is not necessary; many videos are made without any dark colour. If Saturn or Rahu is strong in your kundali, dark colours may even suit you. A video is short, so do not worry much about it; think carefully about colours in the office and bedroom, where you spend long hours.
